How to Apply
To apply for membership in the Western Australian Association of Youth Workers, follow these steps. If you have questions regarding the process, please check the FAQs section and if this does not answer your query please do not hesitate to contact the association: info@waayw.org
- Consider your eligibility
To be eligible, you must meet a number of criteria. Please go to the Eligibility Requirements section of this website.
- Work out which membership category you are eligible to apply for
There are a number of membership categories that a practitioner can apply for. The one for which you will be eligible will be decided according to a combination of your level of qualification and your years of experience in the sector. Please go to the membership Membership Categories section of this website.
- Fill in a membership application
Membership forms are available for printing here: Membership Form
- Obtain copies of your documents
You must provide copies of your ID and Working With Children Check (or occasionally Police Clearance) to the association. You must also sign the Stat Dec attached to the Membership form.
- Send your Membership Application along with other relevant paper work and membership fee.

The current membership fee for WAAYW is $50.00. This is a development fee that acknowledges that the association is in its early stages. Later fees will be higher but the exact amount will be decided by the membership. There are a number of ways to make payment including cheque, money order or through bank transfer, including internet banking. See application form for details.
- Receive Confirmation of Membership
Membership applications are considered by the association on a Monthly Basis. If you are successful in meeting the criteria, you will receive notification by post.
